Hey y'all,

I love reading your emails. They are fun and really uplifting! 

This week not much went on, but I'm still standing strong! 

Tuesday, we went on exchanges and I lead out the area! We chapped so many doors and not that many people answered!  Which got me thinking? "Why is no body answering?" (I pondered on that for a few days so I will answer that later) 

I went on exchanges with Elder Yates! He is a boss! He told me whenever someone opens the door, he always wanted to say, "Hey you look really happy today.  What did you have for breakfast?"  Love that kid! 

On Wednesday we went to Zone Interview Training!  There we talked about the Godhead and Planning!  I really enjoyed it!  I also chatted with the Mission President!  I Flippin’ love that guy!  He loves the missionaries! 

I talked to him about studying and how I could get the most out of my studying! He advised me to study by topic and to use a dictionary and a thesaurus!  That way I can get a different perspective!  Let me tell you after applying that method, I LOVE studying my scriptures! 

Thursday we went on exchanges again! With a different Elder!  He is literally has some Amazing People skills!  He is a great missionary, except for he is sorta lazy!  It is so sad because he has some great talents but just doesn't use them! We are all trying to help him! (Me, my companion, and Elder Yates) Hope for the best!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday we spent just finding people.  I figured out why no body was home while we were out chapping!  Because they have work or family or something!  So they are best to get at night and not during the day! 

We also have to really solid potential Investigator, she wants to learn more about the Plan of Salvation, but if she has an illness that prevents us from coming over sometimes!  So if you guys can pray for her the next couple of weeks that would be grand!  Her name is Emma!

My companion is great!

My companion is great!  He is so nice and we work so well together!  He doesn't look down on me and I don't look down on him!  It is always a party!

Also, the work is hastening here!  Not hastening hastening just hastening!  We have no investigators BUT (there is always a BUT) we have this appointment with a lady who is worried about death.  We are going to teach her the Plan of Salvation!  I can't wait!  She has also been reading from the Book of Mormon! 

Also, we have to recent convert who says I have an answer for everything! Which I don't, I just voice my opinions out loud!  One time, she was telling us how she goes to bed late and get up early and what not!  So, I pulled a Doyle Beck quote on her "Early to bed, early to raise, makes a man, healthy wealth and wise!"  She looked at me and said that’s just for men!  Then I pulled out my scriptures! D&C 88:124  I guess I do have an answer for everything! 

But seriously now!  I love this work and I am glad I can serve the Lord for these years of my Life!

Honestly, that’s my update for the week!  I love you family and friends!

Not Much Happening in Omagh

Hey Y'all,

Elder Smith here... So not much stuff happening in Omagh!

We did however find one girl to teach! Her name is Emma!  I bring her up because her husband Derek, Co-owns a pizza shop!  The same day we found Emma, we found Richard! 

Who is Richard?

Well, Richard is the other owner of the pizza shop!  We figured out that Richard and Derek are brothers!  It is cool they are both interested to learn about the gospel, and we found them both the same day!

When talking to my companion about this coincidence, he said, "a coincidence is just an excuse to not give God the credit!"

Its so true! God work miracles everyday, we just need need to open our eyes and look for them!

Even Though it's not and LDS church it still is pretty cool!!!!

I love Omagh!

I love Omagh! Let me tell you a little bit about this town first! 

Omagh is a really small town about the size of Shelley, Idaho! The people here are very friendly!  They still slam doors in your face, but they do it so nicely!  It's the best!  Oh yeah, Omagh is seriously out in the middle of NO WHERE!  It’s pretty great!

There is a branch here, about 30 people or so attend church each week! They all love missionaries and they love helping us! 

There is a member named Tom, he is SO COOL!  He loves missionaries!  He always has us over for cupa (cup of chocolate)!  He does joint teaching with us whenever!  He even buys us food!  He’s great! 

His story, however, goes like this!  Three years ago there was a man named Tom! Tom lived a pretty normal life!  He had a wife, a job, and a house over his head!  What more could he ask for?

  

Well, one day the unexpected happened to Tom!  His wife died!  Tom was very sad!  He was sad for quiet some time!  But not for long because three weeks later someone chapped his door!  You will probably guessed who that was? You're right, THE MISSIONARIES!  They taught him the discussions and he's been a member ever since!  The missionaries sorta replaced his wife!  He is awesome! 

The gospel is awesome also!  It gives people the chance to live with their loved ones again!  What a blessing! 

My companion is great!  He is an Englishman!  He LOVES to work!  It's great!  His last companion didn't like to work at all!  Now we have no investigators!  So we must work extra hard to find people!  Which is fine by me!  Once we start finding them, we will start teaching! 

That sums up my area, but I really do miss you all and I wish I could be there! But the work must go on!
