Hard work finally paid off!

Hard work finally paid off!  We got our first new investigator in Forever!

He is a way cool guy.  His name is Conal and he lives at home with his dad!  He is about 19ish and he is really open!  When we talked to him at his door I asked him if anything we said interested him!  His response was, "I didn't know there was another testament of Jesus Christ!"

We taught him the restoration and left behind a reading assignment. I asked him what he expected from reading it!  He said to learn more about Jesus Christ!

He is great!

Last time we were out tracting, we played this dumb game called "The Doctrine Game!"  How it works, is you ask a doctrinal question like, "How many sections and in the Doctrine and Covenants?" then your companion is suppose to answer it!  I hate it so much!  Basically it’s a game to see who knows more stuff then the other guy!  I'm never playing it again!

Sunday evening we went tracting in the rain for an hour or so!  That was a blast!  I love the rain so much!

We did exchanges this week. I lead out the area with the Zone Leader Brown and He is a pretty good guy! I like him!

I think that’s about all I really did!  It was a fun week like always!

I do miss you all!

Talk with you next week!

What is the Craic?

Hey y'all,

What is the Craic?

That means what is up!

So, I'm about to tell you the most import thing in your whole entire life!

GOD LOVES YOU!!!!

Anyway, on Thursday, we went down to Dublin to go to the All Ireland Conference! I loved it! President talked about how to be diligent! It is just working hard! I loved it!

The night before, we stayed in the Thingless Elder's Flat and two elders who kept talking! Well, I didn't fall asleep until two in the morning! and that didn't make me happy you can say! Oh well what can you do about it!  At the Ireland conference we heard from an area seventy! That was fun!  He talked about missionaries working with members I loved it!

We did exchanges on Friday Saturday and that was a blast! I was with elder Yates! He's AMERICAN! He’s just a fun guy! We stayed up until 12:30 in the morning just chatting!

Saturday evening we had a branch activity. It was a sing along. That was okay. I don't have the best voice in the world, so people’s ears were bleeding, just kidding!

Sunday I received my punishment for staying up too late!  Now I have a sore throat!  One of our member friends mixed together some "Rat Poison" for me, it did soothe it for a bit!  Then it came back!  It was worth the shot though!

My advise of the week, You reap what you sow!

Well, I love you all, I hope none of you guys have died yet!  Talk with you later!

This past week was NUTS!

So this past week was NUTS! Let me tell you why!

So on Wednesday we had a wedding to attend! Basically, weddings here, they get married civilly before they get sealed in the temple! That was a party! They got married in the Omagh Branch Building! I was part of the ceremony! I was in the Choir! I sang my Heart out that! Guess what? I still Suck at singing!

Then we drove for an hour to attend the dinner apart of the reception. It was fancy! A 5 course meal! Let just say, I was pretty full!  It was so Yummy!

About the couple that got married, HE is blind and SHE is polish! They met while she was on her Mission here Forever Ago! And that is that!

We tried to do missionary work but we didn’t know what to do!  If we contact all the potentials from the past, we would have to spend all day planing to see where they live!  So my AWESOME companion, Elder Hewitson said, "Forget this we are going to make this easy on ourselves!"  Instead, we spent the whole day in the library making a website!  Basically, now we can open up an Excel Document, typed in the information about the person, run a Marco which opens the website and shows us on google maps where they live! So COOL!

That was fun!

The next day was the 11th of July!  The day before the 12th! And 12th when Northern Ireland joined the UK! So, basically Northern Ireland Independence Day--in a sense!  We had a blast!  We had to be in by 6pm the night before because they set these 50 foot high pallet piles on fire! CRAZY!  Basically, it's a riot! It was fun!

On the 12th they have a parade, which isn't anything like American parades! Once you’ve seen the first three, you've seen them all! Also they don't have floats, they only have Marching bands!

It was so much fun too!

We are struggling right now to find people to teach or even to talk to for 30 seconds, but that is okay!  WE will find someone this week! The Lord has prepared someone!

Well, that’s it for Elder Smith for the Week! Chat with you later!

Love you All!

Finding, Finding and More Finding!

So this week all we did is finding, finding and more finding!

Seriously, so much finding that my companion was like, "I'm done finding!" He was rather unhappy about it!

He had a reasonable reason! He said, "I work work my rump off and we have no fruits to show for it!"

It's true we literally went finding all day for three days and found like four flakey potentials.

But that doesn't matter, the grace of the Lord is with us and he will bless us! The Lord loves us, so I know we will receive blessings soon!

We have a wedding next week! Whoo Hoo! WEDDING #eternalmarriage

I'll add a picture this week!

That is honestly my week! Sorry for the short Email! I love you all though and I miss you!
